- Top-ranked Stanford women’s golf will send a pair of golfers to the USF Invitational on March 31 and April 1.
- The tournament will be played at the Olympic Club in San Francisco on its Lake Course. It will play 6,054 yards as a par-71. The first two rounds begin with an 8:30 am shotgun start on March 31, and the final round also begins at 8:30 am on April 1.
- Leigh Chien and Caroline Sturdza will be the Cardinal competing in San Franciso this week. It is the second consecutive week of individual competition for Chien, who played at the Silicon Valley Showcase last week.
- Sturdza competes for the first time since the Juli Inkster Invitational on March 3-4. It was her best tournament of the season, where she posted scores of 74-74-72-220 to finish 4-over and tied for 20th overall. In every event she has competed in this year, she has improved from her score in relation to par compared to the previous event.
- Chien is working on a T11th finish last week in Millbrae, the second-best finish of her collegiate career. Her best finishes this season both took place in the Bay Area: tied for fifth in Stanford, and tied for eleventh in Millbrae. This bodes well for her competing in San Francisco.
- A small contingency of Stanford golfers will compete next week as well at the Silverado Showdown in Napa on April 7-8.
