STANFORD, Calif. – Elena Bosgana, Tess Heal and Mary Ashley Stevenson have been named to the 2024-25 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Women’s Basketball Team for Division I. The team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.
Bosgana capped her Cardinal career by averaging 12.2 points and 6.4 rebounds in her senior season and started all 67 of Stanford’s games the past two years. On Nov. 29, she scored a career-high 26 points and didn’t miss from the floor to lead Stanford to an 84-54 win over visiting UC San Diego. Bosgana poured in her 26 on a perfect 10-of-10 shooting, including 5-of-5 from deep, tying the school record for single-game field goal percentage (min. 10 attempts).
Against Florida State on Jan. 9, she had her second consecutive double-double with 21 points, 15 rebounds and six assists, one of just four players in the country this season with those numbers in a game. A science, technology and society major with a 3.74 GPA, this is Bosgana’s second Academic All-District selection.
In her first season on The Farm, Heal averaged 8.0 points and 2.0 rebounds per game, shooting 50.3 percent from the floor and 49.3 percent from behind the arc. She had her breakout game at Stanford’s win over Wake Forest on Jan. 16, scoring a season-high 24 points on 9-of-16 shooting, including 6-of-8 from deep. Heal popped off for another 23 points and five 3-pointers in the Feb. 16 win over Boston College.
Her 8.8 points per game as a sub in ACC contests were fifth best in the league and she finished third in ACC Sixth Player of the Year voting. Also an Academic All-District pick last season, Heal boasts a 3.96 cumulative GPA and is majoring in sociology.
Stevenson owns a 3.97 cumulative GPA in her first two college years, one at Purdue and one at Stanford. She put up 4.4 points and 3.4 rebounds this past season and in eight starts, averaged 8.8 points on 58.0 percent shooting and 4.8 rebounds.
